ETL Developer

Position: ETL Developer
Position Reports to: Business Intelligence Manager
Salary: Dependent on Qualifications
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for the scripts required to extract, transform, clean and move data and metadata so they can be loaded in to a data warehouse/Business Intelligence system.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Work with business analysts to identify and understand source data systems.
· Map source system data to data warehouse models.
· Develop, test, schedule and implement extraction, transformation and load (ETL) processes (DDL, DML, stored procedures, triggers, views etc.)
· Define and capture metadata and rules associated with ETL processes.
· Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.
· Work with BI analyst and support team to troubleshoot issues.
· Work with BI report developers to generate optimized code.
· Understand source and target data structures, ETL processes and products.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· 3+ years ETL development within a data warehouse environment preferably on SQL Server platform larger than 500 GB.
· A thorough understanding of relational database internals, star schema concepts, data warehouse data model and source data.
· Advanced SQL skills (SSIS, stored procedures).
· Strong problem-solving and metadata skills.
· Informatica or equivalent ETL tool experience a plus.
· Highly motivated, organized, detail oriented and a team player.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Prior experience with MicroStrategy or JDE EnterpriseOne a plus.
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· 6+ years of hands on experience in IT
