 CNC & Manual Machinist

 

Reports to: Director, Procurement

 

Job Summary:

This person is responsible to produce machined parts by programming, setting-up, and running a variety of manual and CNC machines. 

 

Essential Functions:

1. Utilize CAM software to program a 4 axis CNC mill.

2. Operate and set-up manual and CNC milling machines.

3. Operate manual lathes.

4. Responsible for part inspections.

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

1. Skilled working with a variety of manual and CNC machines.

2. Knowledgeable in the use of CAM software.

3. Proficient with machine shop mathematics.

4. Ability to inspect parts using verniers, height gages, micrometers, etc.

5. Must be able to work independently and with others.

 

Education / Experience:

Not less than three (3) years experience working as a CNC machinist

HS graduate or equivalent.
