We seek a motivated BUYER- IT CATEGORY TEAM at our St. Louis, MO facility who will be responsible for the following:

Facilitate bids, analysis and negotiations for goods and services (typically under $500K) for IT hardware and software purchases. Support Category Managers with cost and supply market analysis. Run SAP/Business Warehouse reports. Set up bidding events in an online sourcing program. Serve as an escalation point to resolve problems within the purchase to pay process. Assist with contract development and execution. Place purchase orders as necessary. Respond to changes in job scope with agility.

The successful candidate will possess the following experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field. 1-3 years previous procurement experience or successful completion of a 6 month Procurement Co-op Occasional travel will be required

Skills:
RFX Basics & E-Sourcing Understanding of major components and proper use of RFP’s, RFQ,’s, RFI’s, etc. Ability to write bid specifications. Knowledge of e-sourcing events –types, structure and use How to create and analyze a basic cost breakdown. Procurement analytics Bid comparison & analysis Basic cost analysis Spend analysis techniques Operational Skills Ordering and PO Placement in SAP. Understanding of classifications such as material groups and how they are used in SAP for spend analysis. Knowledge of Monsanto’s procurement policies & procedures.
