Aquatic Field Technician

Description
This position is responsible for managing freshwater ponds, lakes and canals throughout Southwest Florida. Duties include the operation of small motor boats, airboats, backpacks, ATVs and trucks to spray aquatic herbicides and algaecides for control of exotic and nuisance plants and algae. Additional minor duties include fish stocking, mosquito and midge fly control, water testing and customer relations.Aquatic Systems, Inc. is a diversified aquatic and wetland environmental service, research and manufacturing company. Our corporate office is located in Pompano Beach, Florida and this job opportunity is at our Ft. Myers, Florida field office. Â

RequirementsThis position requires supporting our customers by working with them to evaluate fresh and saltwater ecosystems and designing appropriate management products and programs to meet their needs.
This is the right job for an individual who enjoys the aquatic environment and working outdoors in Florida's summer climate, has a pleasant personality, good writing skills and is ready to learn and grow in this position.Â

Swimming ability is essential and will be tested. Aquatic Systems is a Drug Free Work Place and a drug test and background check are employment requirements.

EducationMinimal acceptable educational level: High School degree.
