West Coast Sales ManagerDescription: Match component/sub-assembly production capability to customer requirements while building a strong relationship with the customer for future business. (Will need to meet OEM requirements). Major Responsibilities: 1. Achieve profitable sales through win/win relationships with customers.2. Grow key account penetration on target accounts.3. Insure customer coordination exists when dealing with other internal constituencies of Customer Support, other Sales staff, Marketing, and internal Production and Engineering.4. Other duties as assigned, particularly in the areas of sales forecasting, quoting, and commercial project management.5. Direct the Purchasing Department to be responsible for acquiring materials at the lowest cost, highest quality, and at the best time in support of operations.Territory consists of all of California and requires occasional visits to Corporate headquarters in Boulder, CO. Requirements: 1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (preferably Engineering, Physics or Optics). Degree from University of Rochester, University of Arizona or other school w/Optical Engineering/Technology program desired.2. Basic knowledge of thin-film coatings and optics preferred.3. Prior component-oriented sales experience (as OEM), preferably experience involving customers who would likely purchase optics, thin-film coatings, optical sub-assemblies and lasers.4. Must be team inspired and have technical aptitude, positive attitude, enthusiasm and consistently professional demeanor and the ability to multi-task and seek out solutions to customer's component needs, resulting in orders.5. Must have excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.6. Must have at least ten years of experience in prior component oriented sales.7.
