Web Designer/ Developer
EMS Technologies, Inc. is a leading innovator in the design and manufacture of wireless, satellite and defense solutions, and focuses its unique range of advanced technologies on the needs of broadband and mobile information users.
SUMMARY:
The Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for maintaining all web sites for EMS.
Specific duties include the following:
Ø Perform daily updating and posting of content to web sites using established standards after testing pages and following internal approval processes
Ø Use Content Management System to migrate and update existing web sites
Ø Design and develop front-end web sites and web pages
Ø Create and/or manipulate web graphic files
Ø Administer and maintain a WebTrends Analytics 8 implementation; support and train executive and marketing personnel throughout the organization on how to use WebTrends
REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Strong web page development skills with 2+ years of web design and development experience.
Ø Working knowledge of design software such as Visual Studio Web Developer Express 2005, FrontPage, Fireworks and PhotoShop. Must be comfortable coding HTML (not just WYSIWYG) and in using CSS.
Ø Adept at creating & optimizing web page graphics.
Ø Good communication and team collaboration skills; works well independently; be self-motivated, thorough and detail-oriented.
Ø Resume should include examples of sites on which you have been a designer/developer.
DESIRED SKILLS:
JavaScript, DHTML, FLASH. Experience with CMS and Illustrator or other design software a plus.
