Vice President Corporate Business Development R&D ($200-$300K Base)

 

One of our Defense clients is looking for a Vice President of Corporate Business Development for a $450 million dollar technology solutions and R&D company that offers the following products to Defense and Commercial clients: Robots – Armor Kits – Security Equipment – Surveillance Technology – Thermal Systems – Decontamination Systems. Our client sells military hardware products to DOD and security organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Compensation:  $200-$300K base

Location:  Mclean, VA or Boston, MA

 

Responsibilities:

 

(1) Manage business development resources to identify new target markets and expand market share in contract R&D activities

 

(2) Plan, initiate and direct research to determine government S&T budgets, customer preferences and 

 needs.

 

(3) Develop business development objectives and strategies

 

(4) Identify and define opportunities in contract R&D that can leads to new products

 

(5) Direct the development and implementation of advertising and promotional programs

 

Requirements:

 

(1) 10+ years of Business Development experience in government R&D contracts

 

(2) Experience in marketing/selling major programs to DARPA, ONR, ARL, ARDEC,

TACOM, DTRA, SPAWAR, NavAir, NavSea and similar government agencies. 

(REQUIRED)

 

(3) Proven success change management, operations and business development and a highly

 successful record of identification and capture of government contract research

and development solutions.



(4) Strong problem solver with demonstrated ability to build teams, lead and manage. 

Must have strong organizational skill and strong written and verbal communication skills.
