Unigraphics ( UG NX 5 ) Design EngineerDescription: Unigraphics (UG NX5) Design Engineer needed for a contract opportunity in Mesa, AZ! Dynamic Phoenix firm seeks Designers with current Unigraphics experience and solid experience in mechanical design. Responsibilities will include: Develop, document and maintain processes to resolve programmatic as well as technical problems. Design or modify existing designs to optimize manufacturing operations. Gather information, make studies and prepare original rough sketches utilizing Unigraphics NX5. Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material and planning groups. Mentor junior staff members in correct application of tolerances, GD & T and drawing layout. Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering highly preferred, comparable work experience will be considered. 7+ years of Mechanical design experience in aerospace or defense related field. Experienced with conceptual design. Experienced with Unigraphics, UG NX5 highly desirable. Proficient with GD & T. In-depth understanding of mechanics of materials, mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
