UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Pilot/Operator (Global Hawk)
Perform Air Vehicle Operator functions during developmental test and operational flight of Unmanned Aircraft supporting the Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Force community in developing the doctrine, the concepts of operations (CONOPS), and the tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) needed to integrate future UAS into routine worldwide Fleet operations. Plan and execute tests in accordance with FAA and ICAO procedures, and prepare flight test documentation. Coordinate and assist in the execution of ground and flight test events.
Education:
A BS degree and nine (9) to thirteen (13) years flight experience.
Experience:
Selected candidate must be a commercial pilot with an instrument rating and current Class III FAA physical or better Preferred Experience: Current unmanned pilot and instructor pilot qualifications. Flight Test experience is also a plus.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Technical degree, test and evaluation experience. Formerly qualified as a Tier II Plus or higher unmanned aerial system operator. Experience in persistent surveillance and C4ISR operations, exercise creation and execution, broad area surveillance conceptual planning. Fleet exercise officer and/or mission planning expertise.
