Turbine Engine Mechanic 08-1013
Complete the final assembly build-up by use of reference material, work process sheets, job orders, technical manuals and/or manufacturing manuals. Detect wear patterns of engines or components. Determine serviceability of parts by precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot engines. Disassemble and check parts by visual inspection and precision measuring instruments. Correct malfunctions and reassemble to specifications. Other duties may be assigned.Technical or vocational school with emphasis on mathematical skills. Previous experience in the aerospace field on engines such as but not limited to Allison 250 or TFE731 preferred, but not required. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration regulations pretaining to the operation of a Repair Station. FAA Powerplant license preferred. Personal computer skills. Standing, unilateral, and bilateral movement, reaching, grasping, talking and hearing. May be required to lift objects weighing over 10 pounds. Clarity of vision with the ability to bring objects into sharp focus. Must pass Inspection eye examination.
