Transportation Master Planner

  JMWA is looking for a Transportation Planner! Description:Serve as engineering support to client. Manage Military Construction (MILCON) projects from programming through construction. Identify requirements for major facilities. Prepare reports and recommendations, review concepts, designs and complete project plans and specifications. Prepare and develop comprehensive, accurate, and complete documentation Packages for Military Construction requirements. Coordinate and develop project requirements with various users and tenants, translating functional requirements into facility needs, and preparing the necessary project documentation to successfully acquire project approval and funding. Modify existing packages and briefing project information. Review conceptual, pre-final, and final designed plans and specifications for functional adequacy and maintainability. Transportation: Serves as the transportation planner for Master Plans. Ability to look at client location’s long range traffic needs, identify potential solutions and coordinate traffic issues with DPW, other directorates and non-client agencies such as TN and KY Departments of Transportation. Review projects in design for compatibility with infrastructure  Force Protection: Act as Master Plans representative for Anti Terrorism and Force Protection issues. Coordinates AT/FP requirements for projects in design and uses knowledge to incorporate new AT/FP requirements into existing facilities as needed.  Required: Masters degree or equivalent preferred 16 years civil engineering / planning experience Valid U.S. drivers license required Military construction experience required Transportation planning / DPW experience required.
