Tool & Die Makers - Placentia
A great company in Placentia is seeking out Tool & Die Maker/Machinist for 1st and 2nd shift. Candidates must be experienced with metal stamping and repair. Company works with many industries, but mainly aerospace and automotive, including government work. Familiar with maintenance and repair of metal stamping dies. Knowledgeable in machine operations, mathematics, blueprint reading and accurate checking and measuring skills..Experience w/ Automotive and Aerospace applications is a plus, not required.Requires 3 years experience tool and die maker/machinist in the metal stamping industry or related.
DUTIES
Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist’s hand tools.
Build new tooling and mold design.
Supervise and instruct shop personnel in running production machinery in tool room.
Build prototype products and jigs and fixtures for production.
Work closely with Engineering, Sales and Production to enhance productivity.
Inventory Control of tool room.
Work along side with the Quality Department to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
Complies with all Company Safety Polices and Practices at all times
