Test and Documentation Analyst

Aviation EngineeringC4ISR Systems (design, integrate, test, field & sustain)Enterprise Data Management/Data WarehousingEnterprise Information Technology SolutionsFlight School TrainingIntegration of Warfighting SystemsLogistics ManagementSoftware EngineeringSystems Engineering & IntegrationSystems Integration & FieldingSummary: Incumbent will use Microsoft Office Suite, OptimalTrace, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Enterprise Architect, and other documentation and test evaluation tools to provide user and system level documentation, test evaluation, test preparation, and software test planning for the Army Consolidated Mishap Reporting System, Army approved applications, and other applications as assigned. The analyst will develop software system and development documentation in accordance with established standards as indicated by their supervisor. These include but not limited to vision documents, software requirements specification (SRS) documents, various project management (PM) documents (i.e. Risk Management Plan), data dictionaries, software and hardware installation/configuration instructions, training and marketing materials, and user manuals.The analyst will assist in the testing of software using documented and developing test procedures. The analyst will work with programming and technical staff to help develop test procedures and plans. The analyst will be expected to develop test plans for existing and emerging software. The analyst will fully develop emerging software requirements and define them in writing to the programming staff. The analyst will assist in functional testing to ensure compliance with the requirements and proper function of the software. The analyst will help maintain all documentation within a centralized portal.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Interpret written or oral descriptions of program functionality.* Develop software test scripts.* Maintain existing software test procedures and plans.* Produce, maintain and release project and product documentation per established standard.* Support design and development of software packages or applications.* Support software quality assurance actions.* Develop and Maintain Documentation in accordance with specified standards.* Ensure compliance of programs with established software development procedures.* Support Westar's Configuration Management efforts.* Other duties as assigned.QualificationsSecurity Requirements: Employee will be required to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance while performing duties under this contract.Education and/or Experience: * B.S. or B.A. degree required in related technical field.* Experience in a variety of software applications and programs including Microsoft Word.* Experience in software development environments.* Familiarity with software development practices and theories.* Good English composition skills.* Obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance.* Knowledge government software engineering standards and documentation processes is desirable.* Ability to interpret customer processes into detailed program requirements. * Ability to write clear, concise thoughts, and to develop ideas in a written format.Westar/QinetiQ North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
