Test Engineers
Plan, coordinate and direct as required gas turbine engine and/or component testing programs with test operations personnel. Develop and coordinate documentation to fulfill internal and external customer data requirements with interfacing groups-departments. Coordinate teamwork between multiple disciplines of interfacing services. Assure accuracy of data obtained during testing. Produce-publish written report of data recorded and events of the test program for customer and department internal historical records. Become knowledgeable of the R-R Corp and Experimental Assembly & Test Operations – procedural functions. Continuous effort in the creating of innovative ideas that garner or enhance safe and more efficient operation of assigned tasks.
A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering assignments experience is required. Must have a high level of analytical ability to deal with challenging engineering problems. Needs good command of the English language for communication in both written and oral formal & non-formal presentations. Needs knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint software. Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment. Must be motivated to accept responsibility and accomplish results for customers. Experience in gas turbine testing is desirable. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
