Technology Lead - Business Development
Technology Lead - U.S. Business Development The Technology Lead role is in Raytheon's Corporate U.S. Business Development organization and is located in Rosslyn, Va. This individual will report to the Vice President of U.S. Business Development, and have primary responsibility for Raytheon's strategic relationships with DoD Science and Technology agencies and work with Raytheon's technology leaders to ensure that Raytheon achieves its strategic growth goals. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Voice of the customer externally, in support of Raytheon technologies / capabilities and programs, and the primary interface connecting Raytheon leaders to senior customers. * Provide key customer perspectives in the development of Raytheon's technology strategy. * Provide integrated strategy linking technology roadmaps to new domestic and international business opportunities. * Provide timely intelligence on captures and competition, including assessment of adjacent opportunities. Identify and assess current and future buying habits of the customer and opportunities for Raytheon. * Shape and influence company and business segment strategy as it relates to advanced technology solutions. Strategy development includes transformational, fiscal, and opportunity environment of the DoD Science and Technology agencies, and non-DoD agencies. * Identify growth opportunities with DARPA and DoD research laboratories that support Raytheon's strategic objectives. * Lead company wide initiatives in the generation of enterprise advanced technology concepts. * Develop successful win strategies for advanced technology pursuits. * Serves as the primary interface with DARPA, DoD and non-DoD S&T organizations. * Provide expertise and customer knowledge in the development of emerging technology initiatives and enterprise pursuits. * Actively engage the customer community to develop new opportunities and transition them to Raytheon for pursuit; participate on strategic captures, color teams. Qualifications / Requirements * Fourteen plus years of progressive experience in advanced technology or business development role supporting enterprise advanced technologies. * Bachelor's degree in engineering / science; advanced technical degree preferred. * Strong understanding of the new technology marketplace, acquired through industry experience * Direct experience with DoD Science and Technology agencies and excellent relationships with senior leaders in these organizations. * Superior ethical standards beyond reproach. * Demonstrated success in strategic organizational planning, developing technology roadmaps; success in evaluating missions, requirements and connecting technologies and capabilities. * Advanced understanding of the government procurement, fiscal and regulatory environment. * Top Secret Clearance - SCI / SSBI * Experience leading Advanced Technology organization; P&L experience preferred. * Strong problem solver with demonstrated ability to build teams, influence in a matrix environment. * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
