Technician II Engineering

Description:

Support testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of inertial Measurement units and computers.

Support well defined development tests, system integration, and formal acceptance tests which includes environmental testing.

Generate test support documentation such as data book entries and test reports.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 Must be U.S. Citizen

 High School Diploma or equivalent required

 3 years related experience required

Additional Qualifications:

 Able to use general purpose test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.

 Experience working in a lab with environmental test equipment.

 Good communication skills

 Ability to write clearly and correctly

 Some experience in an inertial system test environment is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Technical education is a plus along with 3 years experience in an electronics discipline.

Have an understanding of electronics and proficient use of general purpose test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters along with exposure to environmental testing for space flight products.

Ability to read schematics, follow procedures, and apply computer skills and technical knowledge to competently troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Capable of generating clear and precise technical documentation for the preparation of action registers, engineering orders, and data book entries.

Pro-activeness, good communication skills, and discipline are essential for this position.
