The Technical Support - Telecommunications will document and resolve problems in a timely manner. She/he will ensure compliance with change control processes, adherence to standards, and develop required documentation. She/he will participate in system maintenance activities and contribute to the optimization and performance of the enterprise infrastructure.QualificationsResponsibilities: First line support for all Telecom related issues. Escalates more complex problems to senior level. Troubleshoot telecom/communication issue. Provides technical phone and desktop support for hardware and software issues, to include but not limited to: network connectivity problem resolution, application installation and support, installation of telephones and peripheral devices. Administer access for various systems. Record, resolve, or escalate incoming support requests. Provide quality customer support and technical expertise in an accurate and timely manner. Facilitates communication upward and across the team providing status updates and technical solutions. Manage some projects in addition to Telecom responsibilities.Job Requirements and Qualifications:Solid technical background and knowledge of supporting computers using industry best practices and methods. Demonstrated 2+ years of administrative support of telecommunications experience in a corporate environment. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude. Must be able to communicate effectively with various types of customers, employees, managers, and vendors to identify and resolve telecom related issues. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels of the organization. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment ? multi-tasking, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.Education and Professional Certifications: Associates degree or equivalent in a related engineering or technology disciplineProfessional Certifications (desired): Nortel or Cisco telephony certification
