Primary responsibilities of Position:
This position is responsible for the planning and execution of Technical Validation (Design Checker) activities of detail drawings, parts lists, change request, minor deviations, and CAD models; ii) Application of approved standards to all engineering drawings, CAD models, ECR/ECOs and minor deviations to ensure that the released documents represent the design intent and precisely communicate the dimensional adequacy, tolerance applications, and conform to requirements; iii) Support the change control process for the drawing requirement manual (DRM) and mentor the Technical Validators as auditors of design documents; iv)Develop and execute a plan to put in place and sustain a Technical Validation presence in the Mexicali Mechanical Design group.
This position requires the necessary group skills and behaviors to motivate group’s associates to efficiently meet schedule commitments; provide weekly / monthly status reports; conducting employee performance reviews and foster employee development.
Position complexity:
Detail understanding of all aspects of the Honeywell processes from layouts to drawings / model creation. Understand the role of global and local outsourcing in support of design. Understand the drawing requirements manual (DRM) and its role in the creation of the engineer drawings and models.

•Ensure that the feedback on the drawings and models are clearly communicated to the designer.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Engineering
Minimum of ten years of directly related experience or a combination of advanced education and experience which yields an equivalent level of knowledge and abilities.
Additional Qualifications
A strong mechanical design / detailing and manufacturing background are highly desirable. Green / Black Belt certification and program management training is desirable.
