Technical Director

This position is a senior level technical position. It requires an in-depth technical understanding of modern ATC/ATM systems with solid experience or knowledge in key sub-systems such as Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR), Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR), ATC display automation system, Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) systems, ATC communication systems, airport radio navigation aids and Instrument Landing Systems. This position requires in-depth understanding of the existing & future civil/ military ATC/ATM standards and implementation.Position is responsible for the technical direction and oversight of all ATC products including requirement analysis, configuration trades, architecture design, technical proposals and leading technology development for existing and next generation products. Position will also be working closely with ATC product area program managers, business development staff and lead system engineers to plan & implement company's ATC product area strategic agenda and new business pursuits including customer briefings, technical proposals and technology roadmaps. Bachelor's Degree in engineering with applicable experience. Master's degree desirable. Twelve or more years of experience in applicable engineering functions with supervisory experience. Directly applicable military experience will be considered.Ability to work effectively with teams (Integrated Product Development Teams) and provide technical leadership and direction to engineering staff and business area team members. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
