SKILLS NEEDED:Candidate shall possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with at least twenty (20) or more years of related experience. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified material. DUTIES SPECIFIC TO THE POSITION:Candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the technical interfaces between specialty payloads and the launch vehicle on the Taurus II program. Responsibilities include representing Orbital as the point of contact with the payload supplier in technical interchanges, coordinating payload interface design activities across multiple Orbital organizations and working to ensure that the payload interface meets the requirements of the Taurus II vehicle design, requirements of the applicable mission and Orbital's internal design standards and processes. The successful candidate shall have experience with various specialty payloads and their interface to launch vehicle avionics systems. Duties specific to the position include ensuring that applicable Orbital organizations are made aware any of interface issues, and working to quickly provide closure of technical issues as they relate to the payload interface. Duties include facilitating technical exchanges with the payload supplier and various organizations within Orbital. Candidate will be responsible for providing both technical and schedule status of the interface development. Successful candidate shall be an excellent communicator who works well with others. Position may require travel to up to 25% of the time. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with at least twenty (20) or more years of related experience.EOE/M/F/D/V
