Systems/Rapid Prototype Engineer
INTRODUCTION: A small and rapidly growing autonomous business unit (< 100 people) within a two-billion dollar/year publicly traded company, our San Diego location is seeking technical leaders in our Embedded Computing Systems group.Join our Systems Engineering Team!We are designing the latest generation of rugged real-time embedded computing systems for a variety of mission critical applications on today’s most advanced military platforms. This position represents a key role in our team, providing technical leadership on our most important programs. Be a part of a dynamic technical team at Curtiss-Wright. All of our engineering positons offer the opportunity for creative, hands-on "beginning to end" design, development and innovation in sub-systems within embedded computing at our San Diego facilities.Postion Responsibilities: Participate in proposal effort for quick turn system solutions Design, develop and implement cost-effective test procedures for systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to team utilizing MS Office or other presentation tools Proven multitasking skills Experience with shell scripting for VxWorks and Unix Robust electrical/electronic problem solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision Essential Skills and Experience: Experience with COTS hardware including VME and cPCI modules Experience with integration and test of systems with VxWorks, Linux, Windows O/S including the creation and implementation of test strategies 5-7 Years SW/HW design experience for embedded, real-time applications a plus MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: · BS or MS in Computer Sciences or Electronic Engineering Curtiss-Wright Controls is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/D/V.
