Systems Engineer for Air Vehicle

Black Ram Engineering Services, LLC, the leading provider of engineering services and high-end technical solutions for the defense and space industry, is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Air Vehicle (AV) Cross Segment Integration (CSI) Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT).  This position is located in Palmdale, CA.  All applicants must have an advanced understanding of systems development and Air Vehicle design and implementation.

 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

 Supporting the AV Segment Integrated Product Team by working with a team of Systems Engineers to facilitate communications across all program IPTsCoordinating change process implementationDeveloping requirements flow-down and verification documentationDefining, collecting, analyzing, and reporting data/metrics indicating conformance of AV IPT performance to requirementsDeveloping and supporting Interface Control DocumentationAssuring that the systems engineering processes and procedures are properly implemented in accordance with program system engineering management planProviding leadership in CSI to proactively, and innovatively resolve complex technical issues between SEIT and across multiple IPTs

 The basic qualifications for this position are as follows:

 Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Master of Science degree in EngineeringTwelve to 19 years of experience depending on level of educationProficiency in automated requirements development and traceability tools such as DOORS or SLATE (preferred)Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Project and AccessExcellent communication, organizational and interpretive skillsAbility to act as an advisor to management and customers on technical issuesAbility to effectively interact with interdisciplinary and intra-company teams of systems engineersActive TS/SSBI security clearance 

The preferred qualifications for the position are as follows:

 Prior experience in advanced air vehicle development and supporting subsystem design and integration strongly desiredRelevant experience in performing with system mission effectiveness analysis, requirements analysis, systems analysis, subsystem design, TPMs, Risk Management, and facilitation of trade studies is desiredAbility to travel as needed
