POSITION: Systems Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION: * Develop electronic systems, including space-based electro-optical, laser, and missile defense systems for military programs. * Develop proposals, designs, technology, and products. * Assist business development, technology development, and product development efforts. REQUIREMENTS: 1) BS degree. 2) US Citizen with current or recently expired security clearance. 3) 10+ years relevant work experience in the military electro-optic, laser, missile, radar, RF, microwave, sensor, imaging, and/or electronic systems community. 4) Strong experience with the following: a) military systems development programs, b) technology and product development, c) manufacturing or manufacturability development. ** Examples of background technology required: sensor systems, radar systems, RF systems, microwave systems, missile warning and missile defense systems, electro-optic imaging systems, infrared / multispectral / hyperspectral imaging systems, laser radar / ladar / lidar systems, laser communication systems, directed energy systems, guidance / navigation / controls systems, C4ISR systems, etc.. ------------------------------ Please Respond with a Resume to: nlasky@mri-rtp.com Company ProfileThe Electro-Optics Group is a divsion of The Photonics Group which recruits engineers nationwide for companies that design and manufacture optical, electro-optic, and laser systems. Our major business clientele is small-mid size military contractors who build systems such as laser rangefinders, fire control and tracking products, IR sensors, etc.. We also work with commercial optic and laser component manufacturers whose products are used to build these systems, and with companies that use the military technology for commercial purposes like laser bar code scanners, CCD cameras, or laser surgery. A minor part of our business has been with companies building micro optic or fiber optic products. The common feature of all our clients is that they are designing and building cutting edge optics and electro-optic technology. Our client companies are located across the US, concentrated near the major optics centers of Rochester, Boston, Orlando, Tucson, and southern California, but also in a dozen or so other locations. The positions we work on range from design engineer to senior manager, all requiring a strong technical background in the optics and electro-optics systems industry.
