Systems Engineer/Architect Description:Assist the Department of Defense in implementing IT infrastructure development projects that include: architecture development, data center design, governance development, process planning, security engineering, and project planning. Use systems engineering methodologies to define information technology systems achitectures and to guide large sponsor IT programs. Develop project management plans for large-scale projects and work with Department of Defense staff to implement the plans. Work with the government to refine the practice of information technology implementation, the policies that govern it, and the foundational business processes that facilitate implementation. Assist the government in driving research and development efforts to meet actual operational needs. Apply disciplined technology T&E planning to sponsored work.Qualifications:Requires a BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. 7 years of experience. Demonstrated experience in data center and/or communications development and design. At least 10 years experience as an IT design engineer with demonstrated success with complex distributed server and network systems.
