Systems Analyst
Position Description:
The Air Defense Techniques Group develops radar, communications, and systems technologies for use in future air defense systems. Of particular interest is the development of highly digitized phased-array radars and advanced signal processing techniques to enable the next generation of shipboard and airborne surveillance sensors. Major activities within the group include system concept development, modeling and simulation, signal processing algorithm design, prototype system design and development, and experimental field testing and data analysis. A systems analyst is needed to participate in analysis of advanced radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems. Activities include systems analysis, modeling, simulation, and data analysis. Candidate should be familiar with quantitative analysis of radar and/or EW systems. Requirements:M.S. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other Engineering Degree. In lieu of an MS degree, a BS degree with 3 years of directly related experience will be considered.Strong problem-solving and team skills are essential. Familiarity with systems analysis and RF/EW system interaction assessments desired. Experience with air defense and ballistic missile defense engagement scenarios a plus. MATLAB programming experience is desired. Must have good written skills and an ability to communicate key engineering issues and conclusions to technical community and the sponsors.
