In a continually growing international market, we provide our customers complete solutions for civilian Air Traffic Management.  We propose a large set of solutions including air traffic control centers, control systems for airport towers, surveillance sensors, navigational aids and communication systems.

If you want to participate in the development of a new generation of air traffic control centers based on new technologies and a new line of products, now is the time to join the Air Traffic Management Systems team of THALES.  The software we are working on, particularly in the area of Sensor Data Fusion (radar, ADS-B, multilateration) is developed to fulfill new operational requirements of Air Navigation Service Providers and uses modern data design technologies (UML, ADA/JAVA, LINUX) and advanced mathematical algorithms (numerical filtering and probabilities).

We are looking for Software/Systems Engineers to develop and enhance our existing products and to participate in the development of a new line of products, which will be deployed in our future control centers.  You will be working on projects in the US, but will be part of an international product team.  The development phase will be partially accomplished in Europe and therefore, the position will require international travel in the early phase.

- Participate in the specification and design phase for the new capabilities to be developed;

- Perform software coding and unit testing;

- Contribute to the preparation and execution of integration and qualification tests;

- Ensure the software maintenance of the components you are responsible for;

- Apply the standard process and methods in place at Thales.

Experience with civilian or military air traffic control systems

Minimum two years experience in software development of large industrial systems in which the above capabilities have been developed.

A great aptitude for communication, a true desire to work within a multi-cultural team are essential assets to hold this job.

- Operating system: LINUX, UNIX- real-time software design and development
