Supply Chain
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Purchasing group and the ongoing management of suppliers, the Receiving and Warehouse functions, the finished good Shipping Coordinator.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
& RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purchasing
· Day-to-day management of personnel and procurement of all components required for production.
· Support the selection of suppliers based on cost, quality and schedule compliance and performing periodic feedback evaluations of suppliers.
· Interface with suppliers to resolve engineering, quality and delivery schedule issues.
· Work with suppliers to support lean manufacturing initiatives.
· Improve and develop purchasing policies and strategies.
Inventory/Warehouse
· Ensure inputs into MRP/ERP system are accurate such that inventory control is achieved for all jobs.
· Manage internal work orders as required.
· Supervise physical inventories and cycle counts.
· Improve and develop inventory and warehouse policies and strategies.
· Work internally to support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Receiving and Shipping
· Ensure timely and accurate receiving of materials from suppliers.
· Assist Engineering to improve incoming inspection criteria and execution.
· Reduce inbound and outbound shipping costs.
· Support the Shipping Coordinator and Sales to meet customer delivery dates.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· BA, BS is required.
· CPM, CPPM or CPP certification preferred.
Experience:
· 4-6 years of supply chain experience with at least 1-2 year in supervisory/management role.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
· Excellent analytical problem solving, negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral are required.
· Aptitude for planning is required.
· Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
· APICS or ISM participation is a plus.
· Working knowledge of Visual Manufacturing (ERP) is desired.
· Working knowledge of Crystal Reports is a plus.
· General office experience, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point required.
