Supplier Quality Rep.

Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining. Candidate will be responsible to perform Quality System Audits (ASQR-1), Flight Safety Audits, Designated Quality Rep. audits along with New Supplier Assessments at our supplier base. Their responsibility includes the on site audit and working with the supplier to close out any audit findings, and documenting result in the HS database. The supplier base will consist of approximately 75-90 suppliers located in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Minn., Michigan and Indiana. Requires an energetic and enthusiastic person familiar with the tools & techniques of auditing, Quality Clinic Systems, Process Certification, Relentless Root Cause Analysis, Mistake-Proofing, and Value Stream Mapping. This associate shall be called upon at times to coordinate / quarterback major supplier escape investigations and report the investigation status to management. Education BS Degree Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Quality Engineering Technology Degree or CQE. Experience/Qualifications 3 to 7 Years of auditing experience at suppliers. AS9100 registered auditor is a plus. Self-motivated, high energy individual with strong leadership skills, and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments using Quality Improvement tools such as ACE / ITO tools and methodologies. Highly effective team player with strong communication skills and the ability to develop and sustain team commitment and ownership. Working knowledge in leading DMAIC ( Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control ) projects. 3 to 7 Years of auditing experience at suppliers. AS9100 registered auditor is a plus. Knowledge in DMAIC process, Quality Clinic, Relentless Root Cause Analysis, Mistake Proofing and SPC. Expect to travel about 75% of the time.
