Supplier Quality Engineer-MI

This is a temporary position for a minimum period of 6 months for a Supplier Quality Engineering position based at a vendor site in Chesterfield, MI. Job Duties: A Supplier Quality Manager position in a high paced Military aerospace environment. Has management responsibility for an assigned geographical region to perform supplier quality engagements, proactive assessments, and various qualification and verification audits. Position requirements and responsibilities include; Participation in problem resolution of technical issues, monitor supplier performance data to identify trends, analyzes opportunities for continuous improvement and implements supplier improvement actions. Performs pre and post award assessments, conducts technical data package audits. Review product and process evaluations at supplier's facilities: Quality Systems, Technical Capability and Manufacturing Process, Capacity and capability. Works collaboratively with Cross Business Teams and Integrated Business Teams to direct, improve, and control processes and performance Experience Required: Advanced knowledge and experience of Control Plan Implementation In-depth knowledge of commodity manufacturing operations; Machining, Brazing, General Fabrication Techniques and assembly of Electronic Assemblies Ability to translate military and industry specifications/standards into flow down quality and qualification requirements for purchased material Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, test, inspection, workmanship, manufacturing an assembly methods Able to lead in a cross-functional team environment with no supervision Evaluate and approve supplier corrective& preventive action plans.
