This role manages material flow, assembly, test, final product preparation, inspection of aerospace components by driving an operation team consisting of NES employees and professional engineers. Provides coaching and mentoring in support of professional development of direct reports.Actively contributes to the achievement of company goals for Safety, Security, Affirmative Action, EEO, Environmental Protection, and Housekeeping. Monitors and improves productivity. Responsible for supporting the financial and non-financial goals of Tempe operations. Demonstrates a knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and implementation. Supports on time delivery goals of the site. Supports the implementation of strategies and projects for inventory and cycle-time reduction. Achieves and maintains zero quality escapes from the factory. Achieves and maintains one piece product flow within the product cells. Provides performance feedback to direct and indirect reports and demonstrates appropriate differentiation among employee appraisals. Demonstrates an active commitment to identify and resolve employee satisfaction issues. Demonstrates an active commitment to continuous improvement and the principles of Lean Manufacturing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in related field.

A minimum of 1 year experience in repair and overhaul in an airspace organization.

Meets or exceeds all FAA requirements for repair and overhaul leadership.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to effectively flow down site andproduct line business requirements into actionable tasks on swing shift.

Requires a high level of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to display a high degree of confidence, objectivity, tact, diplomacy and ethical conduct.

Must demonstrate strong leadership and problem solving capabilities.Strong bias for action to manage dynamic business priorities and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift Must be self-motivated, dependable; possess good communication skills, very detail oriented and capable of making good decisions under minimal supervision.

Proficient in the of Microsoft Office Suite.

Proven leadership and associate development skills with the ability to build strong teams.

Greenbelt certified preferred.

3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
