SUMMARY
Supervise and organize design-engineering efforts for FAA PMA applications.  Recommend new procedures as necessary.  Plan and establish engineering schedules and follow up performance against estimates.  Cost control and statistical data.  Development of material selection standards.  Supervise process specifications and design standards. Coordinate and establish systems for data libraries.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelors degree in related field, plus prior leadership experience in an aerospace environment. Project Management experience / knowledge is a big plus.
· Ability to supervise production of mechanical designs using reverse engineering methods. 
· Ability to create engineering drawings that comply with industry, FAA specifications and geometric dimensioning standards.
· Skilled in use of computer equipment and Windows operating systems.
· CAD experience is necessary...knowledgeable in ProE is a plus.
· Knowledgeable with standard manufacturing processes for gas turbine engine component manufacturing and repair.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Using reverse engineering technology and other test and computation methods to produce FAA PMA component designs.
· Plan, control and supervise the design of these components for gas turbine hardware using 3-D ProE and CAD systems
· Supervise, define and conduct required (dimensional) inspections
· Supervise design organization and maintenance of engineering documents.
· Write process routings that define the manufacturing operations and steps to produce parts.
· Coordinate and prepare reports and documents to be submitted to customers and regulatory agencies.
· Interface with suppliers and customers
· Effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms.
