Staff Software Engineer (Robotics)
The Technology Solutions Group (TSG) of QinetiQ North America has an international reputation for developing and delivering innovative products and systems that perform under the most demanding conditions to government and private industry clients. Our TALON® robots are widely used in Iraq and Afghanistan to disable roadside bombs and our LAST® add-on Armor has been used to up-armor thousands of combat air and land vehicles since its debut in Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Our Precision Air Drop System (PADS?) has been used on more than 600 missions and has dropped more than 5 million pounds of cargo since its debut in August 2006.

Project Summary: Support of USAMRMC TATRC soldier recovery project Support of ECBC CUGV CBRN Integration Project Support of Code Name "Symphony" Internal Software Architecture Project Position Summary: Employees will design, write and test software to support referenced project needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing specific sub-tasks of technical components under the direct, daily supervision of more experienced technical personnel. Implementing and testing algorithms developed by others in an effective and tractable manner are the primary day-to-day activities of this position. This position has no business development responsibilities; however, they are expected to occasionally review business proposals to expand their own personal knowledge. Qualifications: BS or MS in CS, CE, or EE with strong software background. Familiarity with UGV's would be key differentiator. Experience with C/C++ and Linux is a requirement with knowledge of HW/SW integration a benefit.
