Sr. Unix Admin
Apex Systems is searching for a Consultant who will function as a Senior UNIX Developer to work on the SWIFTNet Exceptions and Investigations Intiative using the FNI platform. These new SWIFTNet E&I messages are in XML format and have very specific processing requirements. To support BNY’s participation in this initiative, a new SWIFT gateway needs to be deployed to interface with the CIA application (existing BNY Inquiry application) using store-and-forward message-by-message based communication.
The individual should have extensive experience (minimum of 7 years) in developing applications on the UNIX/AIX platform using "C" language along with JAVA and ORACLE. C++ is a nice plus but NOT required.
Experience with developing global payment systems, interfacing with FED/CHIPS/SWIFT or have implemented the IntraNet's MTS solution is a major plus and could command a higher permissible bill rate range.
In addition, the individual need to have strong ability to code, test, develop, modify, implement and/or enhance an application using the specified technical skill set as listed below. Delivers timely and quality services with a solid history of application development, support, modifications, enhancements and troubleshooting skills.
The preferred candidate should possess the following: Excellent oral and written communication skills; Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources; Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management; Must take initiative; Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
