Senior Technical Support Engineer - Propulsion Engines

 

Product responsibility for Turbo - Prop engines or Turbo-Fan enginesPossesses flight line and R&O technical support capabilities. Leads and supports single product family activities required to resolve customer technical issues including field questions escalated from the Technical Operations Center. Works with Engineering & Technology and Business Segments on higher level issues to assure that technical problem resolution meets the needs of the customers. Monitors customer operations and field data to assess product health and proactively address more complex technical issues before they impact customer relations. Analyzes field event and reliability data to identify new failure modes and trends. Develops programs to manage product performance and reliability through identification of technical issues and guidance of improvements through Product Teams. Provides product engineering support to Customer Satisfaction Boards at times leading task teams to resolve field issues. Provides guidance to support the Product Support Program Manager in prioritizing and establishing waterline analysis of technical programs for presentation to "Clearing Houses". Writes presentation material for in-service technical issues, collaborating with Customer Support on Technical Coordination Meetings and sharing presentation responsibilities for larger operator meetings. Key participant in strategic allocation and decision to spend customer liaison funds to support resolution of field issues. Communicates with other Honeywell divisions, OEMs, customers and aviation industry contacts to provide problem resolution and troubleshooting advice. Leads and directs efforts of Technical Operations Center and FSEs to provide on-site technical support to customers.

Basic QualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering or Related Technical Field Minimum of 3 years industry experience in engineering or customer service of gas turbine engines

Preferred Qualifications5 years industry experience in engineering or customer service of mechanical products. Program Management experience. Multiple product experience a benefit. Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification
