Sr Systems Engineer I - Guidance System Design & Performance

Conducts missile guidance system design and analysis, including guidance law development, state estimation, trajectory shaping and optimization and system performance trade studies or model development as assigned by GNC lead. Demonstrates ability to independently determine and develop original technical approaches. Coordinates activities with other engineering disciplines and customers. Reports progress and issues to GNC lead or ITP leader. Responsibilities may include schedule and cost performance. Security Clearance: Secret Existing clearance required. Positions at Raytheon may require U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD. The ideal candidate will possess: -Required Skills: Familiarity with Matlab, FORTRAN and or C/C++. Strong data analysis, organizational, communication and leadership skills. Must have experience with utilizing and modifying 6-DOF simulations. Four years applied experience. -Desired Skills: Guidance law algorithm design and optimization, trade studies and requirements flowdown and verification. Missile and Target state estimation using Kalman Filtering techniques.
