Sr. Supply Chain Analyst

Leading manufacturers of computers, energy efficient appliances, lighting, automobiles, satellites, aircraft and defense systems rely on IR's power management benchmarks to power their next generation products.International Rectifier currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst in our Santa Clara, California location. US citizenship or permanent residency is required for this facility. This position is responsible for implementing strategic sourcing methodologies related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials for active and passive semiconductor devices, diodes, mosfets, capacitors, resistors, transistors, packages, and other commodities used in the development of devices for the Aerospace and Defense division of IR. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and supply agreements in collaboration with other functional business departments. • Develop, lead and implement sourcing initiatives to reduce cost and provide year-on-year cost improvement in collaboration with Operations Management and various functional groups. • Analyzing purchasing and spending activity; Identifying opportunities to aggregate, standardize and minimize costs • Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. • Responsible to coordinate new supplier selection, contract negotiations, supplier qualification and supplier performance reviews; analyze supplier proposals, play a key role in negotiations and work closely with legal on development of contracts; • Optimize supplier relationships for key suppliers and supplier base including working with internal and external suppliers to comply with inventory policies. • Coordinate and Drive supplier improvement programs to maximize value, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI, breadman, etc) • Coordinates with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs. • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls, corporate purchasing procedures, US purchasing procedures;Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent; engineering background desirable • Minimum 7 years in an electronics/semiconductor manufacturing environment including supply chain, lean production methods and just in time manufacturing and delivery aerospace and defense preferred; • Knowledge of supply chain management principles, techniques, processes and tools, including MRP (ASK Manman experience preferred); should include lean approaches to parts presentation, six sigma processes, e-procurement and e-logistics strategies; • Demonstrated ability to develop internal client and external supplier relationships to ensure that the company obtains maximum value from its suppliers; • Demonstrated strong analytical background and reporting capability; understand the inverse relationship between efficiency and risk; • Hands-on experience negotiating pricing and contractual terms & conditions; • Excellent computer and communication skills; including strong presentation skills APICS certification a plusExperience in aerospace and defense a plus Please apply on line at www.irf.comor e mail pbasfor1@irf.com
