This position is located in our AZ, Ft. Huachuca facilityGENERAL SUMMARY: Develops, organizes, and conducts moderately complex training and educational programs for customer personnel; works under limited supervision; does related work as required.PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers moderately complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives; 2. Establishes and reviews course content and objectives; 3. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities; 4. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness; 5. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance; 6. May provide work leadership for lower level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs; 7. Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies; 8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned; 9. Participates in special projects as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE1. Typically requires 5-8 years directly related training experience; 2. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of training programs; 2. Thorough knowledge of relevant software and computer equipment as required; 3. Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills; 4. Trains personnel by utilizing various forums, such as formal classroom training courses, course facilitation, on-line facilitation, CBT's, web based instruction, workshops, exercises, and seminars. Prepares all training material, such as but not limited to course outlines, course manuals, background materials, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, course assessment forms, and training aids. Maintain currency in the area of expertise and will be expected to function as an expert in the 35M specialty field. Typically requires 8 - 10 years related experience, Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, training or related field of study which provides substantial knowledge in the area of expertise or high school graduate plus four years specialized experience.
