Job Description
Raytheon Solipsys is augmenting its multi-disciplined staff with the best and brightest talent available. We are currently searching for motivated and flexible software engineers who can work effectively in team environments, and independently. Successful candidates will demonstrate solid technical capability and leadership/interpersonnel skills, as well as impressive communication, presentation and organizational skills. Individuals in this position may be assigned as software leads, who are responsible for overall planning, execution, and status updates for software development projects. They will be strong technical contributors and will be able to effectively lead projects through the full lifecycle of software development, in support of customer-driven objectives . This position includes responsibility for requirements analysis, design and software implementation.
Required SkillsDegree in Computer Science or related discipline and 3-7 years software development experience Demonstrated skills in Java and J2SDK core libraries and optionally, other object-oriented languages GUI design and implementation in AWT/Swing and optionally, other GUI toolkits Object-oriented design patterns Windows, Unix, and IP-based networking Performance in a leadership role in a dynamic, multi-tasked team environment Ability to travel to customer sites as needed Experience leading teams of Software Engineers is preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position at Raytheon Solipsys requires U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.
