Sr S/E II - Voice and Video Continuity Engineer
Work Location is Chantilly, VA OVERVIEW: The Information Technology and Communications Continuity (ITCC) Program the National Intelligence Emergency Management Activity (NIEMA) within the Office of the Deputy Director for National Intelligence for Plans, Programs, and Requirements (PPR) seeks a highly motivated candidate with experience designing, planning, and evaluating network communications systems. This candidate should have an interest/familiarity with Disaster Recovery or Contingency Engineering and a demonstrated willingness to learn new subject matters. Candidate must also maintain technical awareness of emerging technologies and current technological solutions approved for use within the Intelligence Community. This position requires the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and with multiple customers simultaneously. Positive and proactive attitude is a must! RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibilities for the Voice and Video Continuity Engineer (Sr Systems Engineer II) include: - Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements - Design and plan voice and video solutions and command and control (C2) systems - Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the program. - Identify value-added recommendations to integrate multiple intelligence organizations Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills: - BA/BS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, plus 6 or more years of applicable work experience - Minimum 5 years experience engineering and/or implementing Video Teleconferencing solutions - Minimum 5 years experience engineering and/or implementing Telephony solutions - Ability to perform frequent, reimbursed, local area travel within Northern, VA, Washington DC metropolitan area using personal vehicle - US citizenship - Must have a current and active TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge: - Experience with Secure Video Teleconference technologies - Experience with conference bridges and other voice and video switching components - Experience designing or implementing Voice over Internet Protocol solutions - Experience engineering or implementing mission critical voice and video solutions - Knowledge of NSTS, DRSN and other IC and Federal Government voice systems - Experience designing, implementing, or configuring red and black switches - Experience working with continuity of operations (COOP) planning team - Experience working in mission critical operating environments - Familiarity with integrating multiple domains - Familiarity with Federal Continuity Mandates - Project management experience Company & Benefit Information: Raytheon Company, with 2007 sales of $21.3 billion, is a technology leader specializing in defense, homeland security, and other government markets throughout the world.
