Honeywell Aerospace currently has an opening for a Sr. Process Engineer, that  resides at Defense and Space Systems, Integrated Supply Chain, in Clearwater, Florida.  This position reports directly to the Sr. ISC Manager.
 
Job Description:  Candidate will provide technical support to the manufacture of computing, guidance and navigation equipment. This role involves direct manufacturing support. Candidate will develop, document, maintain and improve manufacturing processes, assist producibility efforts on development and production hardware, design assembly tooling, resolve problems related to fabrication, disposition nonconforming hardware and prepare technical reports to ensure successful build, test and delivery of our products per the master schedule."
 
Job Responsibilities:

Design and implement tooling/fixturing to improve the process
Continually improve the process
Review and approve layouts
Update layouts for process improvements
Review and resolve nonconforming product
Review and resolve manufacturing issues
Ensure the successful transition of new programs into production
Lead Rapid problem solving
Lead HOS activities including 5S, lean manufacturing
Overall lead the manufacturing process improvement to reduce cost, leadtime, cycle time and labor.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree required in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Minimum of 2 years directly related experience

Candidates must be legally authorized to work where this position is located.Sponorship is not available.

Prefer Six Sigma certification

Lean principal knowledge and/or experience highly desired

Strong communication skills to all levels and functions
