Sr Mechanical Engineer II

We specialize in innovative hardware engineering solutions including underground navigational instrumentation, object identification and avoidance, various custom and specialized horizontal drilling devices and a variety of other products and services. Responsibilities: The successful applicant will lead the Mechanical Engineering efforts in developing innovative engineering solutions from conceptualization through prototype development. At least two years of leading project engineering teams is required. The applicant must have excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and design practice. The candidate will be responsible for product design, engineering analysis, production drawings, and vendor fabrication of prototype hardware. The applicant will be involved in all aspects of product development including conceptualization, design, analysis, supplier development, and prototype production and testing in a cross-functional team environment. The candidate will also contribute to R&D proposals and reports. Requirements: A minimum of 6 years of related experience, 2 years demonstrated lead experience, and R&D work. A BS in engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates should be proficient in FEA and CAD (Solidworks preferred).
