Our highly responsive, highly skilled team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic, fast paced team at our Commercial Systems Division, located in Westlake Village, CA.

 

General Job Description:

You will be involved in the design and development of opto-mechanical systems for visible, thermal infrared, and UV systems. This also includes providing leadership throughout the design process, coordinating and directing others, in support of a variety of programs ranging from prototypes to full production articles. Some travel may be required. 

 

Specific Job Requirements:BS/ME degree in equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experienceFluent with SolidWorksOpto-mechanical experience Knowledgeable about the mechanical requirements and issues relating to mounting high-precision optics and the impact of extreme environments.Ability to conceptualize and define architectures, design, develop, and document prototype efforts and support projects through the manufacturing process.Interface with customers and suppliers in technical areas relating to the project.

 

Other requirements:Strong analytical skills and motion control experience preferredExperience in working in the optics arena and interfacing with optical engineers Demonstrated leadership skills while having the ability to be a team playerAbility to effectively deliver a product within schedule and budgetExperience in product development in the field of metrology and/or medical systems is a plus for the West Coast (CSD) position
