Sr IT Security Analyst
This position is located in our VA, Arlington facility• Execute technical vulnerability assessments and prepare resulting summary documentation; • Provide support for technical engineering solutions; • Provide support in the development of security policy; • Provide recommendations for mitigation of identified network/system vulnerabilities; • Assist in educating users on security procedures. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related disciplines.Candidate must be ITIL Foundation certified or capable of obtaining ITIL Foundation level certification within 60 days of hire (training provided at employer expense).Requires 10-12 years experience working in the IT Security field with a minimum of 2 years experience working as an IT Security Engineer for a professional services firm or within the federal government; In-depth knowledge of US Government security regulations and methodologies; Experience using automated vulnerability assessment tools; Detailed knowledge of IT Security concepts; Working knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and OMB A-130; Experience with writing Test Results documents; Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills; Excellent teamwork and client service skills.Desired Skills: • Possess one or more of the following certifications or be able to obtain within one year of service: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CITP, or ITIL Foundation; • Experience with RMS and TA FISMA toolsets; • Working knowledge of DHS IA controls. LOCAL and CONUS TRAVEL IS REQUIRED. ROTATING WORK SCHEDULE AND WEEKENDS CAN BE EXPECTED.WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
