Integral Systems seeks hands-on IT Engineer (Client Technology Focused) for MS Desktop technologies.  Applicants should have at least 6 years of overall IT experience and at least 2 years experience managing a desktop engineering team. This position manages overall client technology services to our Lanham, MD headquarters and remote offices.

 

The position requires outstanding project management skills, a high degree of technical knowledge and expertise, and people management skills. The person in this role must be adept at gathering business requirements as they relate to emerging technology needs, conducting pilots with assessments, and managing enterprise-wide product rollouts.

 

Client technology includes workstations, printers and peripherals and covers acquisition, asset management of equipment and software deployment and production control for new systems and upgrades.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide project management support to the team to plan and execute rollouts and upgrades.

• Provide technical expertise to the team and the company.

• Ensure that workstations are deployed with applications systems software installed or upgraded and configured in a standardized way, to reduce costs and promote efficiency and ease of administration.

• Establish work priorities and evaluate proposed solutions to ensure that technology contributes to business objectives.

• Identify potential desktop security issues, and provide recommendations to mitigate threats.

• Implement software licensing and metering to assist with adherence to software licensing requirements.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline.

• Depth of experience in MS Active Directory Group Policies and strong understanding of systems technology as it relates to the desktop.

• History of leading successful implementation of enterprise wide projects.

• Ability to lead technical work teams.

• Knowledge of methodologies and procedures that contribute to the development and deployment of technology solutions.
• Self-motivated with excellent leadership and inter-personal skills.
