We encourage new ideas in technology and business processes to enable us to deliver solutions that improve the global standard of livingInternational Rectifier currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to work with our R&D group in Leominster, Massachusetts.US Citizenship or permanent residency is required for this facility. The main focus of this position will be the design of power and analog electronics for aerospace and defense applications. A hands on experience with development for power electronics is required for success. Apply theory and knowledge to new product design and research. Perform circuit design, bread-boarding and simulation for power management. Perform product testing, troubleshooting and characterization for protoypes. In addition to design, participate in projects that have a focus on achievement of milestones. Actively participate in knowledge sharing with the Aerospace and Defense business sector of IR. Provide technical analysis, develop test procedures and reports and participate in cross organizational improvement projects. Document design chances for both internal needs and customers. Other responsibilities will include participating in proposal work and sales meetings with eternal customers and becoming involved in business and program management for new business opportunities. BSEE required, Master’s degree preferred. 10 or more experience in development environment for power electronics. Knowledge of analog circuit design, power semiconductor technology and power supply.
