Sr. Electrical Design Engineer
This position is located in our NJ, Mt. Laurel facilityGENERAL SUMMARY: Designs, evaluates, plans, tests, and operates complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems; works under limited supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Responsible for the design and analysis of facility power distribution systems, including primary and secondary power distribution, grounding, lighting, and emergency power systems. 2. Develops drawings, analysis reports, rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates, and other documentation as required. 3. Conducts site surveys to gather information required for the design and analysis of these systems. 4. Assists technicians in troubleshooting systems. 5. Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers and designers. 6. May act as project lead.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:1. Requires a minimum of 8 years of related engineering experience with progressive responsibility.2. Experience with facility power distribution system design and analysis preferred.3. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1. Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code. 2. Thorough knowledge of power distribution design and analysis principles, methods, and techniques. 3. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD. 4. Strong oral and written communication skills. 5. Ability to provide leadership to assigned tasks. 6.
