Raytheon Information Solutions is looking for a Senior Documentum Developer to provide full lifecycle application development expertise using EMC Documentum software and tools in support of a potential effort with the US EPA. The Sr. Developer will lead the analysis and development of a Documentum solution. Responsibilities: -Analyze existing applications, infrastructure systems, components, designs and code. -Analyze existing software development methods, tools and environments. -Analyze existing project management and quality engineering. -Develop target architecture blueprints and guidelines for architectural transformation. -Present and implement best-practice methods for development of re-usable components within a heterogeneous development environment. -Articulate strategic architecture themes to the tactical and individual developer level. -Identify enterprise-level service components and development of service registries and repositories. -Plan, analyze and define high-level software strategies and solutions through functional and technical expertise and an understanding of the enterprise business system. -Perform analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of application systems. -Integrate technical and application components to meet business requirements. -Create detailed design specification for application components based on the requirements. -Ensure that software requirements are accurately reflected in detailed designs and the solutions. -Provide solution deployment support. - Confer project standards and procedures related to configuration management throughout the application software development/maintenance life cycle. - Confer with IT management on administrative policies and procedures related to technical problem resolution and priority management that relate to the system support and maintenance. -Mentor and monitor development teams in the transformation effort and provide support to developers. Required Skills: -BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. -Experience in full life cycle, enterprise-level application architecture, development and integration, and designing and delivering multi-tier applications. - Minimum of 4-6 years of expert level knowledge and experience in using Documentum and Java, developing complex applications in J2EE platform including hands-on experience in web services architecture, design, development and implementation. - 6-8+ years software development experience. -Experience in the Federal market and working with government clients. -Diplomacy, and the ability to effectively communicate and work with various levels of staff. -Ability to develop solutions that take into account both business and technical objectives. - Experience with at least 7 of the following: JSPs, Servlets, EJBs, JTA/JMS, XML/XSLT, UDDI, WSDL, SOAP, Oracle, WebSphere, DTD, ASP, Web Services, SQL, HTML, DHTML Desired Skills: -Previous experience in legacy systems transformation. -Ability to thrive in a matrix organization. -Familiarity with database design, enterprise data modeling, ETL, DB consolidation and normalization.
