Sr. Contracts Administrator - Government Contracts Experience
Whittaker Controls, located in North Hollywood, California is a market leader in the design and manufacturing of a broad range of fluid control devices and systems for commercial and military aircraft and numerous industrial applications. Whittaker Controls is part of Meggitt Aerospace Equipment.
The Sr. Contracts Administrator will:Contract Administration - Manage contracts for programs and/or segments of business. Administer customer requests for quotations, purchase orders, repair orders, and demand plans. Review and communicate customer unique requirements to affected functions within the organization. Work closely with integrated product development team on new business programs. Recognize and assert changes in scope. Prepare and negotiate requests for equitable adjustment proposals. Negotiation - Review terms and conditions and resolve differences based on business unit guidelines. Develop, execute, and lead negotiation strategies that satisfy business unit objectives as required. Examine estimates of material, development, non-recurring engineering, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare bids; processes specifications, progress/status, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Customer Contact - Establish sole contractual contact with assigned customer base. Maintain effective liaison and coordination between all functions of company and the customer. Provide leadership to resolve conflicts and assure compliance with contract requirements. Represent customer within company; champion customer needs and coordinate responses to assure customer expectations are met.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a four year accredited college or university in Business, Finance, or related business discipline. 6+ years of progressive experience years experience in U.S. with government contracting, international contracts, commercial contracts, export compliance, contract negotiation and contract administration. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relations. Working knowledge of Government regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, CAS and ITAR). Strong E-commerce skills. Willingness to learn JD Edwards ERP system requirements. Experience working in a multi-site and multi-product line of business is preferred.
