Sr Configuration Analyst (NCS Eng. Projects)
Provide Hardware Configuration Management support for the Network Centric Systems (NCS) business supporting multiple DoD programs in McKinney, Texas. Perform all aspects of Configuration Management activities including the development of Configuration Management planning documentation; establishment and coordination of Configuration/Change Control Boards (CCBs); providing liaison with the Drafting, Drawing Control, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) organizations; managing engineering drawings, engineering change documentation, requests for variances and other design documentation; maintaining configuration control of Technical Data Package (TDP); maintaining data within the Product Data Management (PDM) system; maintaining configuration status accounting documentation; working with Operations to record As-Built/As-Shipped configurations and performing product verification to ensure that the product conforms to the approved design documentation; supporting customer reviews and audits; and ensuring compliance with Configuration Management policies and procedures. Provides support for proposals, quotations and budget/cost reviews. This position will support internal and external program audits and reviews and ensure that customer configuration requirements are implemented on assigned programs. Required Skills: Minimum of 4 years experience to include the following: * Must have experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) tools/systems * Must have an understanding of Configuration Management principles and practices * Must be able to act independently guided by broad business area and engineering policies and objectives * Must be able to support multiple projects simultaneously * Must posses strong communication skills (verbal and written) * Must be able to generate and deliver customer presentations * Must be able to work well with all organizational levels * Must have strong people and change agent skills * Must have a sense of urgency; ability to meet challenging deadlines * Must pay attention to detail * Must posses a thorough knowledge of engineering drawing practices * Must be proficient with desktop tools (Microsoft Office suite / Lotus Notes) * Must have experience as a Hardware Configuration Manager on a DoD program * Must have experience in Configuration Control Board (CCB) coordination Desired Skills: * Experience working with the Common As-Built System (CABS) or other automated product verification systems * Experience with Sherpa or equivalent PDM tool * DoD Clearance a plus * Experienced in handling/marking classified and/or proprietary documentation. * Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance experience a plus Required Education (including major): B.S./B.A. Engineering; Business Administration, or 10 years of experience with Certifications from either NDIA or CMII in Configuration Management can substitute for educational requirements Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
