Sr. Buyer - High Reliability Electronics

Our product line includes custom, semi-custom and off-the-shelf power converters and custom miniature (hybrid) electronics circuits for applications across various markets including commercial, space and military aerospace and fiber optics. We have been designing and building DC/DC converters, EMI filters, and special products since 1969.  We are committed to operational excellence and world class processes.  We employ Lean manufacturing techniques to optimize manufacturing efficiency and accuracy on all product lines. Our products are known for their technical strength, proven reliability and overall value. Senior Buyer is responsible for performing tasks such as but not limited to the following responsibilities:  Responsibilities: Â· Develop long and short-range procurement strategies that ensure quality material supply with minimal cost.· Drive increasing inventory turns by developing, implementing and managing innovative material replenishment processes, including, but not limited to Kanbans, vendor managed inventory and supplier consignments.· Manage commodities based on MRP requirements to assure no stock-outs with minimal inventory using order modifiers and policies.· Work with suppliers and Engineering on process and design issues that affect current and future orders.· Analyze impacts of engineering change orders, deviations and waivers to determine affectivity.· Support Sales and Engineering inquiries on material availability and costs.· Keep up with the rapidly changing markets, competitors and technologies.· Support Crane’s Operational Excellence focus, lead or participate in Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events that will eliminate waste and result in significant benefits throughout the Supply Chain. Minimum Requirements: Â· Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of direct Supply Chain experience.· Demonstrated experience utilizing a MRP systems.  · Demonstrated practical application of MRP logic, scheduling and order policies.· Demonstrated ability to develop, negotiate, and administer long term contracts.· Strong analytical, negotiating and communication skills.· Ability to read and procure using source control drawings.· Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities with tight deadlines.· APICS or CPM certification a plus Special Work Conditions: Â· Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. · Eligibility requirements include U.S. nationals or permanent residents (Green Card).  Crane Electronics Group - Redmond offers a modern team-oriented workplace, competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.   Crane Electronics is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Drug-free workplace employer.   Company: Crane Aerospace and Electronics Location: Redmond, WA 98073 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education: Bachelor's Degree Company: Crane Aerospace and Electronics
